Surrounded by flowering apple trees and a grove of cottonwoods on the outskirts of Conrad is one of the best-kept secrets in Montana. Pondera Medical Center's Extended Care Facility serves as a home to many of the founders and builders of this community.
A 59-bed nursing home, we offer 24-hour care and nursing services provided by licensed, certified and compassionate staff members. Staff-to-resident ratio is 1-to-4, well above average, compared to many nursing homes. Specialized services are also available including those offered by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Dietitian, and Medical Social Worker. We have a remarkable Activity Program directed by a certified Activity Coordinator. The facility itself is beautiful-clean and bright-we have 37 private rooms and 11 spacious semi-privates. The variety of food prepared in our aroma-filled kitchen is not only nutritious, but hearty and flavorful as well as attractively presented. We have a 14-bed Special Care Unit designated for residents with pervasive memory loss and confusion, providing an extra touch of attention and supervision. Our nurses and nursing assistants are extra-special, many have worked here for years and their longevity speaks for itself. Patient, kind, positive and energetic are just a few words to describe one of the neatest groups of employees in town. In addition to our current services, we are looking to expand the Special Care Unit and to venture into the business of Adult Daycare. We would be delighted to have you stop in and see us for a tour. One of Montana's best-kept secrets is soon to be revealed! |
