Duties: The Certified Nursing Assistant performs routine personal resident care activities for Pondera Medical Centers Extended Care Unit to promote comfort, maintain functional ability and contribute to the overall resident care program. The position requires a current certification in the State of Montana. C.N.A.s must have the visual and auditory ability to observe the daily living needs of the residents in order to provide quality care. He/she must have the ability to learn and comprehend basic medical terminology. He/she must have the ability to verbally communicate and problem solve effectively with residents, staff and family members. Must be able to perform proper body mechanics to assist residents in ambulating, turning in bed and transferring in and out of bed or wheelchair. He/she must have the physical ability to lift in order to assist with transferring and repositioning of residents. He/she must have the physical agility to respond in a quick manner and in accordance with established facility procedures regarding unexpected resident safety needs. He/she must have the ability to accurately complete forms and records. The C.N.A. receives job training through orientation, inservice and educational programs and resident orientation.

Required: Current C.N.A. certification in the State of Montana
