Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shifts: 8 hour shifts

Duties: The RN supervises and participates in the activities of the Extended Care department to assure deliverance of quality care, promotion of comfort, maintenance of functional abilities and respect for the residents dignity.

Renders nursing care to patients within facility. Observes and reports symptoms and conditions of patients. Takes and records temperatures, respiration and pulse. Administers medications. Sets up treatment trays, prepares instruments and other equipment. Assists physicians with treatment. Assists with administering specialized therapy. Maintains records reflecting residents condition, medication and treatment. Bathes and feeds acutely ill residents.

The RN must be able to effectively communicate, problem solve, plan and direct work of others; be able to demonstrate technical and clinical competency; be able to follow policies and procedures; be able to perform proper body mechanics while performing treatments, turning and transferring of residents; have the physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring and repositioning adult residents; have the physical agility to respond in a quick manner to accommodate unexpected resident safety needs and medical emergencies; have the visual and auditory ability to observe the daily living needs of the residents in order to provide quality care; and have the ability to complete forms and records.

Required: The RN position requires a college degree from an accredited School of Nursing and a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Montana
